			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s nice to hear that some companies are growing and hiring, despite the current economic troubles.  I know Oege de Moor since my time as a Ph.D. student, working in mathematical techniques for program construction.  Oege is an extremely smart guy and a positive person.  So here is the message I got from him last week:</p>

<a href="http://semmle.com/">Semmle</a> is taking off fast, and we urgently need more top-notch software design engineers to join. The main criterion is that they&#8217;re smart and love building great software. Skills that are immediately relevant include:</p>
<ul>
<li>experts in the C and C++ language spec (for static analyses)</li>
<li>visualisation tools (like yGraph)</li>
<li>all forms of declarative programming</li>
</ul>
<p>.. but we expect people who work with us to pick these up in their stride.</p>
<p>Do you know anyone suitable who might like to join Semmle as a student intern, as a consultant or as a full-time engineer? Then please let me know, or pass on this message.</p>
